Boosting Your Self-Confidence

Laureate Connect

Sometimes things turn out to be really difficult, and we think everything’s over. We forget something that’s essential for being successful, self-confidence. The lack of it can make feel unworthy and not motivated.

You need to keep in mind that when you’re going through this, you’re not alone. Tell a friend what’s going through your mind, it will help you can move on and forward. Telling your weaknesses to someone is not a sign of defeat. There’s nothing shameful in asking for help.

It’s really important that you know you are different from everyone else, if you start making comparisons between your achievements from others, you’re pausing your progress.
It may overwhelm you, but focus on yourself; you have lots of things to do!

We can fail many times for bad-taken decision, and it’s okay. It’s something that can happen to anyone, but what’s really wrong is being close-minded and not accepting the mistake. To change of mind is to grow and to know that the plan didn’t work but the goal is the same. You need to leave behind the fear to fail, and the people who you hang out with can influence you. Try to be with positive people that lead you forward, that motivate you to be successful.

Certainly you’ve had successful moments in your life, so take them as a reference to know what you did right and wrong. Every situation we go through marks our personality. They’re lessons but it depends on us the utility we give to those experiences.

Having self-confidence is a matter of time and work. You have to develop it because it will affect how capable you feel to assume big challenges in your life.  You can accomplish anything that you desire, think positive!
