On Wednesday January 14, the School of Dentistry at Universidad Andrés Bello distinguished Dr. Carol Rosenberg Soulodre Professor Emeritus, for his academic achievements and his human qualities. Professor Rosenberg, a native Chillan dentist, from the Cobquecura-Quirihue area, studied violin in his youth. Defined as a music lover, naturalist, countryside and rural landscapes enthusiast, has postgraduate in Oral Medicine and also in Periodontics and Occlusion from the University of Pennsylvania and University of Michigan. Worked as faculty of Pathology and Histopathology, he was the creator of the Histopathology Department of the Faculty of Dentistry and he is Director of the Dental School, both in the University of Chile. Also he highlighted as a guest lecturer in Periodontology and occlusion in several Latin American countries.
He joined the School of Dentistry in 2003. “Back then, the Dean Felipe Stanke asked him to organize the Department of Graduate School. He was in charge of the Directorate for 9 years and definitely consolidated the Postgraduate courses of our Faculty. At the same time took over the subjects of Periodontology Foundation, designing the teaching-learning process for students, a situation that persisted until August 2014 when decided to withdraw from the academy,” said Dr. Luis Montes, Dean Faculty of Dentistry UNAB.
Following the distinction of Professor Emeritus Dr. Carol Rosenberg Soulodre, we proceeded to the graduation ceremony of new dentists in UNAB.
