Slovakia – Turkey Joint Science and Entrepreneurship Forum Agreement Signed

Laying the foundations of the collaboration between Istanbul Bilgi University and the Slovak University of Technology, the agreement was signed with the participation of Robert Fico, the Prime Minister of Slovakia

The signing ceremony for İstanbul Bilgi University and Slovak University of Technology “Slovakia – Turkey Joint Science and Entrepreneurship Forum” agreement was held in idLAB Laboratory at BİLGİ santralistanbul Campus on May 14, 2015.

Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Istanbul Josef Sestak, Istanbul Bilgi University Chairman of the Board of Trustees Rifat Sarıcaoğlu, Rector Prof. Remzi Sanver, Slovak University of Technology Rector Prof. Robert Redhammer, Engineering Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Pavel Cicak were present at the ceremony.

Making the opening speech for the ceremony in idLAB, where production of both universities will be carried out, Istanbul Bilgi University Rector Prof. Remzi Sanver pointed out that the collaboration is a symbol for the revitalization of the centennial bond between the Central Europe and Anatolia. Sanver said, “I wish that this agreement between the two universities and the two countries marks the beginning of a long and successful new phase.”

Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico remarked in his speech that the work for the Slovakia – Turkey Joint Science and Entrepreneurship Forum had been going on for two years. Thanking İstanbul Bilgi University, Fico indicated that students and academics will carry out significant scientific research together as a result of the collaboration.
