CGI Broadcast Impacts Students from the Network

Laureate Connect

Hosted by President Bill Clinton, former U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton, the 10th Annual Clinton Global Initiative brought together world leaders, Fortune 500 CEOs, and renowned non-profit organization heads from around the globe. Laureate Live broadcast the event to 42 institutions and thousands of students from across the Laureate network in their classrooms and auditoriums.

Three outstanding students were selected as Student Anchors to interview CGI participants and help Laureate students, faculty, and staff make the most of the event. They included Sixtine Consigny from Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Emilio Díaz from Universidad del Valle de México, and Nyiko Nenita Mthembi from Monash South Africa.

Viewers had the opportunity to watch global leaders develop new approaches to address pressing global issues in their communities.

Laureate Live arranged expert training for the Student Anchors to prepare them for their on-camera experience and maximize their engagement with the event. Training included presentation skills, camera tips, and interviewing techniques.
